Jolene Rickard (Tuscarora), artist, curator, and Associate Professor of  the history of art and visual studies and Director of the American Indian and Indigenous Studies Program at Cornell University, discusses her work relating to Native and Indigenous aesthetics, artists, and identity in this engaging lecture for the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

Professor Rickard is a featured artist from the landmark exhibition Hearts of Our People: Native Women Artists at the Renwick Gallery.
