What was your area of focus/study within Art History while at Cornell?
My main area of interest is medieval/Byzantine art. Working with Prof. Benjamin Anderson, I completed an honors thesis about vision and iconography in Byzantine art.
What is something you will miss about your time at Cornell? Or, what was your favorite part of being at Cornell?
I will miss the intellectual stimulation and the possibility of virtually diving into any academic topic I am interested in. I will also miss the support and guidance that I have received from so many professors at Cornell.
Did you participate in any clubs, sports, or student organizations while at Cornell?
I was in the Cornell Literary Society for two years and served as vice-president in my senior year.
Did you have any internships, study abroad, or work on any special projects while at Cornell?
I studied abroad in Paris, where I took courses on aesthetics, modern European art, and the historiography of the discipline of art history. I also spent a summer in Berlin with a grant provided by the Comparative Literature Department to study German.
Where are you headed off to after graduation?
I will work for a year and then attend law school.
