ARTH Class of 2020

The class of 2020 has completed their Cornell studies like no other class before them. An unprecedented semester unlike what any of us imagined, yet Professor McGowan comments she has been struck "struck by the tenacity, resilience and strength of our students." Quoted in the College's "Extrodinary Journey's," Art History major Kathie Jiang says “I have faith in our collective capacity to love, persist, and grow even in the face of crisis.” It is this strength the following graduates have left Cornell with, and our hearts are with them.

The History of Art and Visual Studies Department would like to celebrate their path and the people they have become. We are so very proud of each one of you and wish you the very best. Though there will be challenges along the way, you are all prepared to set forth and achieve your goals.

Margaret Canfield

During her time at Cornell, Margaret sung A Capella, interned at the Johnson Museum of Art and worked at the Library Conservation Lab. She is applying to graduate school for art conservation.
